A few weeks ago Nancy asked me if I wanted to help her and her friend Zaidee put together a 2 day art show in Greenwich NY. Zaidee is a yoga instructor who owns the building at 70 Main St in Greenwich. She rents out the space for different events like concerts and farmers markets.
So we got together and came up with a Mother’s Day Weekend Event (May 12th and 13th) . All the detail aren’t clear yet, but there will be all local art, food, soaps and lotions, alpaca wool products, yoga, chair massage, and Jon will be signing books and giving a talk. The artists will be there at different times throughout the weekend for people to meet. We’re hoping to involve the other businesses on Main St who will have sidewalk sales and their own events, and if the weather is good an outdoor spring farmers market.
The idea is to have a place to go with Mom on Mother’s day, where you can buy a locally made gift, eat some good food, experience some yoga or massage and stroll around downtown Greenwich.
I thought my potholders would be a perfect for the show, so I’ve decided to make a variety of different kinds, including my patchwork ( I think I’ll bring out the bug fabric), Everyday Goddess and my new Collage potholders.
So if you’re looking for something fun to do on Mother’s Day weekend join us, I know it will be fun.
