Making Heart of Scraps Potholders

Scraps, first one shows the pile of scraps.  Second photo is the heart shape stitched and roughly  cut out.  Third is the finished heart.  I made a bunch today and plan on making more tomorrow.  I ran out of the black linen, I guess it was a smaller jumper than the checkered one, I still have plenty of that.

Here’s one on brown and black checks.  This is some of the fabric (a shirt)  left over from the Quilt for a Good Man.

This last one’s on grey linen.

And don’t forget, there’s still time to enter the Common Thread Give-a-way and have a chance to win one of Jane McMillen’s Pincushions.  Just click here.

Really interesting how you make the heart ~ very creative! The heart is pretty on the black & white gingham too!! And on the blue ~ they are very pretty.

It really pops on the gray linen Maria. It’s great to see you follow your heart.

And…I saw the finished product first, and wondered how you did it. I’m so glad you showed the process. Great recycling.

Imagine what you can accomplish with scraps! It is inspirational and I admire your ability to “see” what can be used in a pile of scraps. Now that I think about it that’s what God does too ;he sees the art in the scraps of human beings and ALL are useful. Thank’s for sharing the pictures and giving me comfort on a “noes-running-coughing day”.
