The Dance
I finished my first abundant applique pillow this morning. I’m calling it “The Dance”. It feels like a fairy tale or a dream to me. Maria – it’s absolutely lovely. And such joy, having an abundance like that to work with, you can really go wild without feeling that nagging regret – “there’s only the one, I might want it for something later, it’s too good to use . . .” Can’t wait to see the next one.

To follow up, it reminds me a little bit of the work of Henry Darger, documented in the film In the Realms of the Unreal. Or like a tactile-visual kind of magical realism.
