I’m continuing to work on my Goddess in the Boat. It’s going slowly, but smoothly. Today I added the eyes. I just saw them and knew they wanted to be there.
I added some more details, like the woman’s head with the wings beneath the flying egg and another butterfly.
I think tomorrow I’ll do some more work on the two goddess in the bottom corners. I have a few ideas for them.
Every time I see this I am more fascinated by the way you have transformed an old traditional quilt into such a stunning work of Art, I love seeing each of your new pieces, the eyes are so intriguing, each day I seek out a new post from you and am always in awe.
Well that’s very nice to hear Deb. Thank you for letting me know.
I saw this article and thought you might be interested- it reminded me of the Gee’s Bend quilts, but half a world away – in China! http://www.moowon.com/stories/quest-for-beauty-the-anonymous-artists-of-chinese-textile-collages
