I was inspired to make the Potholders during the heat wave last week.
I noticed how much Fanny and Lulu seemed at home in the heat. Even though they were both born and have lived in Upstate NY their whole lives, Donkeys are Desert animals. They’re at home in the heat, especially when they don’t have to do anything, but find the shade and and graze at night.
I did this drawing of Lulu from a photo of took of her.
