Met many kindred spirits on the book tour, some in person, some through my blog. Linda told me about her grandmothers “turkey blood” quilt that her father was using as a rag on his boat. Someone else told me about meeting one of the Gee’s Bend quilters who was selling her Gee’s bend potholders at a quilting exhibit. I think ideas float in some kind of space and different people in different places pick them up and connections are made without anyone being aware of them.
I miss the warm southern sunlight of Kentucky, so different from the sun in New York.
I’ve often had that same thought about ideas! Keep up the art and the writing.
