On the first day of installing Gallery 99, Diane, Patrice, Anne and Liz and I : Moved in pedistals and easels, stamped the art labels with Art in the Public Eye stamps, drank hot tea from the coffee shop next door, installed posters in the sandwich board, took in art from Serena Kovalosky, Gary Larson,Jack Metzger, Mike Huskie, Diane Swanson, and me. We hung a sign then posed under it for Cathy DeDe from the local newspaper The Chronicle, made of list of everything we forgot to bring today, found the thermostat (at the end of the day unfortunately) and the bathroom on the 2nd floor.
Tomorrow we’ll do it again, although it will be warmer and we’ll have a scissor and hammer.
