I had a dream last night that I was at a farm with lots of cows and the farmer asked me why we weren’t doing another Gallery 99 this year. ( I know this doesn’t really make sense, but it was after all, a dream) I tried to explain to him that it was a lot of work and as much as I loved being a part of it, we’re all volunteers and it requires balancing Exhibition time with studio time. Not a very mystical dream, but practical, I guess I was just figuring it all out in my subconscious.
So, speaking of studio time, I finished the Night Sky potholders that I started just before Gallery 99, when I found the lost dog Ben. I have 8 for sale.
Also for sale are my last 2 Clock potholders my last Paris Cafe potholder and a Mushroom potholder (I have a little more of this fabric, enough for a couple more potholders) They are all vintage fabrics from the 1970’s.
All these potholders are $15 each including shipping. If you’re interested in any, just email me at [email protected] or got to CONTACT ME.

Vibrant and stunning! The colors are so captivating. Makes me wish I had more wall space in the kitchen. Hey, maybe potholders are not just for the kitchen anymore….?
Maria I would like the Paris Cafe and a night sky please. Let me know where to send the check…
I’ll email you with the info Sandra. Thanks
Coincidence. As I’m reading this post listening to ‘Nature of the Night Sky’ by Jeff Talman. It’s the radiowaves from 15 stars sped up so that it is audible to human ears. Like listening to the voices of the stars.
That sound fascinating Gaye
here’s a link to the NPR story about ‘Nature of the Night Sky’ (it actually started as a really amazing art installation in a Bavarian forest) and you can hear some clips of the sounds.

I can’t wait to hear it Gaye. Actually your comment from yesterday inspired some words on my latest streaming piece, “singing stars echo thru time”
