Win the Psycho Shower Curtain

Psycho Shower Curtain

Ok here it is, you can be the new owner of the Psycho Shower Curtain. All you have to do is want it, and leave me a comment . If there’s more than one of you, I’ll randomly choose a name and announce the winner on my blog at 5pm tomorrow.

I think the curtain is brilliant myself.  I can’t believe no one thought of it sooner.  I wish I thought of it.  But even if I had, I still wouldn’t want it in my bathroom.  I mean, the movie was scary enough and I spent years peaking out of the curtain while I was showering, after seeing that movie for the first time, making sure no one was sneaking up on me with a knife.  So as much as I like and admire the idea, I don’t want to live with it.   There’s lots of great art like that,  I can appreciate it, but I don’t want to look at it everyday.

So this shower curtain should go to someone, who likes it and wants to live with it.  And I’m sure you’re out there and I’m not judging you.  After all, Jon would have kept the curtain if not for me.  (I’m very happy with the Singing in the Rain shower curtain, thank you and I’ve never even seen the movie)

So don’t forget to send me a comment if you’re interested, and the shipping’s on me… gladly.

  1. I love scary shows and Psycho was such a classic. This would look really good in our little house across the driveway. We are fixing it up for our “guests” to use when they come and visit. I’m sure it would be a conversation starter when they saw it. Thanks for considering me!

  2. no thanks for the psycho shower curtain – too scary for me to be able to relax in my shower- if you enjoy musicals, find some time to watch singing in the rain – classically, a great one – we introduced our young daughters to it many years ago in the car on a road trip-

  3. It’s fabulous and my niece would think I’m the coolest aunt for giving it to her. Maybe it will weed out the “wrong” college roommates.

  4. Today is my birthday and that would make a great gift – I would love to have it! I would put it in my guest bathroom (too spooky for mine), so I could surprise my visitors. What a great conversation piece, the only thing, I wouldn’t be able to see their faces when they saw it!

  5. I would love to win that very bizarre shower curtain for my daughter in law who has a very wicked sense of humour

  6. I have followed Jon on Facebook and his Bedlam farm Blogs for some time and have purchased all of his books about the dogs of Bedlam Farm.As soon as the picture of the shower curtain came up i showed it to my daughter who said “that is so cool, i would love that curtain, so i would love to win it for her.

  7. I would really love to have the Psycho shower curtain. It really isn’t for me, but for my brother who is a huge movie buff and a community actor in Erie, PA. When we were both young (about 9 and 12), I was babysitting him, and he absolutely begged me to allow him to watch this movie. Of course, I finally relented, and so, we watched the movie together. The result is that my brother had nightmares for weeks, and still says that it was one of the scariest movies he ever saw as a kid! We talk about it still today. It would be a great present for him!

  8. THAT. IS. FABULOUS.

(though I don’t want it either. and I like creepy)

But I am hysterically laughing right now. Surely someone worthy will appear. Good luck with finding an appropriate home.

  9. I have a friend that lives in Mexico that this will make the PERFECT gift for, they are kinda wierd like that LOL

  10. I am laughing out loud, Maria. I DON’T want the shower curtain, can’t imagine seeing that image when I’m showering, but think it is brilliant art. Glad it’s leaving New Bedlam Farm. 🙂

  11. When I read your post about Maria not letting you keep the Psycho shower curtain the first thing that popped into my head was – where do I get a Psycho shower curtain?!

I am in the process of buying a new house and would love the unique opportunity to model my bathroom around this conversation starter. It’s so quirky. I absolutely love it!

    Sincerely,
    Melissa Tuttle

  12. I’m going through a divorce.
This would be PERFECT as everything in my home
    is falling apart.
INCLUDING my glass shower doors falling off
their tracks and darn near killing me! !!!
(taking them down and replacing with a regular shower curtain)

    Please!!!
    LOL!
    Peace.

  13. Jason lives (if only on a shower curtain)!!!!! Jon’s “psycho shower curtain” would look FRIGHTFULLY amazing in my bathroom which is the same blue as yours!!!!!! I LUV Jon’s sense of HaHa!!!

(Love “singing in the rain” too.) 🙂

  14. I’ll pass on the Psycho shower curtain, but I did want to put in a plug for Singing in the Rain: cute, hilarious, wonderful dancing and great music–see it if you get a chance.

  15. I want it for sure. Can’t wait to put it up in my kids bathroom and see there faces when they go to take a shower. Haha little mom humor

  16. My comment is that you are very good for Jon 🙂 Uh, and … no thank you. Clashes with my Freddie Krueger curtains…

  17. Oh, my, you’ve given me a good laugh for this dreary Monday. 🙂 Please throw my name in the hat. I would love to put this up at Halloween. And I don’t just peek around the shower curtain – I lock the door AND block it shut with the closet door every time I take a shower when I’m home alone. Alfred Hitchcock really knew how to give us a good scare. While we’re on the subject… I had nightmares about birds for years after that particular movie also. 🙂

  18. Of course I would like to try to win that shower curtain. I think it would make a great gift for a friend but I can see why you don’t want it!!! That movie scared the heck out of me too.

  19. Please enter me in the Psycho shower curtain. My husband and I just love it. We have thought of either giving it to our grandson for his college apartment or to put it in our guest bathroom.

  20. Not for me but my ten yr old granddaughter. Has loved scary movies since she was Five! She laughs at me for not liking them at all!
Love to read your and Jon’s blogs!

  21. I feel the same way … it’s not my style, BUT my brother is crazy enought to LOVE it, so you can add my name to your shower curtain contest. Hopefully it will find a good home.

  22. I love this shower curtain! The movie Psycho always freaked me out, but I consider it a classic of the genre. It’s the suspense that always gets me. I wish current horror movies were more like Psycho with lots of suspense and minimal gore. I think it’s so nice that you are willing to “re-home” the curtain to some one who appreciates it (and not to the garbage!). I hope that person is me!

  23. OMG! I have so many warped memories of the first time I saw this movie. I think I was 10 and my older sister tool me and our other sister to the drive in to see it. Scared the bejeezus out of all of us. One of the creepiest movies ever made. It was great! Love your and Jon’s blog.

  24. Well, let me be the first then! Put my name in the “pot” for the curtain! Love looking at the progress you are both making at the New Bedlam Farm. That antique light fixture in the pantry; and I just love the kitchen – and the wooden floors. I check both blogs several times a day just to “escape” from part of my day. I loved it when our daughter went to grad school in Keene NH, just across the river from Brattleboro VT, which you have mentioned several times. Wish we had had more time to look around when we visited there. Anyway, just wanted to give you some of my thoughts!

  25. I laughed so hard when I read these posts. I’m with you though, those scary movies gave me nightmares. I hope that someone can enjoy it, it’s definitely a conversation piece!!!

  26. A friend of mine used to have a similar Psycho shower curtain. Where this one is red, his was clear. The silhouette of the person holding the knife was in black. I don’t remember handprints on his, but it had “PSYCHO” written near the bottom in cracked & broken typeface like on the movie posters. I loved his. The red of this makes it more shocking, I think, but still fun.

  27. Yes, Yes, Yes! It is the perfect shower curtain for us! My son is enamored with this movie and this shower curtain is for him. I would be delighted to have it, I hope you will consider me!

  28. What a cool shower curtain! Of all times to live in an apartment with glass shower doors. My last place I had a shower curtain. I don’t want to put my name in the drawing or picking but oh what a curtain. That is one of my favorite films. I still shower with one eye open.

  29. Ack! I am with you Maria, all the way! I was truly traumatised by the movie at age 15 and spent about 30 years peeking around the curtain in terror. I do not even want to THINK about it! Just sayin! Amazing, the power of that scene!
    Please do NOT pick me….aaaaaaaaaauuuuuuuuuuggggghhhhhhh.,LOL
