Socks was smaller that the other sheep when I first got her. I wasn’t sure if she was just young or a small sheep, but now she’s almost as big as Suzy and Tess. Her wool is all black, not mottled like Tess or Suzy and it has a tight kink. Last year she didn’t have enough wool to be made into yarn, so I had it made into roving for spinning. I don’t know if it will be different this time. I’m taking all the sheep’s fleeces to the Mill this Sunday. Deb told me that I was on the July-October schedule, so I’ll have the yarn and roving back in October as I thought.
I have Sock’s fleece and am enjoying spinning it! Look forward to your next “crop” of wool and fleece from Socks, Tess, and the rest of the gang…
