Pink Knight Quilt

One of the most creative parts of making a quilt it is the small touches that often come from necessity.  Like that little strip of blue and white in the upper right corner.  In a way it’s just fill, the red piece of fabric wasn’t big enough so I needed to add on to it.  Making that decision, of what to add on, if it should match or be something completely different, can make a big difference in the final look of the quilt.

I knew when I pieced the quilt together it wasn’t quite finished, so I added a strip onto the left side:

That seemed to do it.   Here it is all pieced together and ready for the backing:pk hanging
