Fran’s Secret Gardens at the Bedlam Farm Open House This Sunday

I’m still enchanted by the book The Secret Garden.  It’s one of those things my sister, Fran and I shared as kids.   So I completely understand Fran’s new passion with mini gardens.  They are the walled garden, the magical place to go, that anyone can have, anywhere.

Fran just started making her mini gardens this spring, but she already has a large collection, some of them will be for sale at the Bedlam Farm Open House this Sunday.  Like a doll house they have everything a regular sized garden might have, bird baths, statues, birdhouses, benches, stone paths and reflecting balls, and plants, of course, only really small.

Fran said, “Mornings on my deck with my gardens have become something of a ritual for me.  I love planning them, planting them and making changes as they grow.  It is amazing how one little plant or miniature can spark an idea.”

So come see Fran and her mini gardens at the Bedlam Farm Open House this Sunday between 12 and 4pm.  For more info, click here.  And check out her Facebook Page Fran’s Mini Gardens, to see some more of her.

  1. Oh my gosh, Maria, The Secret Garden was my favorite childhood book. The original book disappeared, and I made sure to buy a new copy several years ago. I can’t wait to see (and hopefully buy) one of Fran’s mini gardens on Sunday!
