This is as far as I’m going to get on my Yellow Quilt today. It’s outsides are still unattached on the floor, but I got most of it pieced together.
Jon and I are going to Glens Falls to an opening reception for Diane Swanson’s painting exhibition. Diane had her work in a couple of Pig Barn Gallery Shows and helped me install and run each show. Now she’s the director of American Women Artists (an online organization) along with doing her own work. We’ve both been busy and haven’t seen each other in a long time, so I’m looking forward to seeing her and her new paintings tonight.
Maria, is this quilt for sale? I would like to purchase it.
Sincerely,
Shannon
I made the quilt for someone Shannon. If it doesn’t work for her, I’ll be sure to let you know. Thanks
I absolutely just LOVE this yellow quilt.
Maria, what a lovely, lovely, lovely quilt. It is like a personal piece of sunsihne. Althea.
What I love most about your work, Maria, is how every piece makes me think about color and composition in a new and vibrant way!! I have to laugh at myself thinking “WOW! THAT QUILT IS GORGEOUS!! and I did not believe that I even liked yellow!” Annie
That’s saying a lot Annie!
