Jon’s Tedx Talk on Creative Aging

Jon’s Tedx Talk came out today.  I remember crying when I first heard him read it, I cried again today when I saw it on YouTube.  Not because it’s sad, because it’s so hopeful.  I’m thrilled to share it here.

  1. Maria, Thanks for sharing this wonderful, wonderful, 16 minutes . Wow ! Tears of hopeful joy make sense as Jon’s talk is so very authentic and connecting. It touched me like hearing Simon Bray…..!

  2. You are a lucky lady. I’ve watched this twice and have been checking the ted site regularly waiting to see this. I knew it would be great. I did okay until the very end. I keep repeating don’t give up, don’t give up.

  3. Maria, I just finished watching this from Jon’s site. So moving. I just love this guy and am so privileged to have “found” you both. You are both inspirations over and over. Thank you so much.

  4. Jon’s lessons live on and on. I always hang on his every word. Thanks for creating quick access to this link, Maria. Here’s to meaningful aging, accomplished without fear ~ doing it “My” way.

  5. Jon’s thoughtful wisdom on aging has touched me deeply.
    Beautifully written, and spoken.
Thank you, Maria, for sharing it with us,so that I
can listen to it again, when I am feeling overwhelmed with aging and the “messages” coming at me.

  6. Maria, this touched me to my core, as I too (at 57) am growing older, in the eyes of this world. My husband and I also have a small farm raising goats, chickens, kitties and dogs being our companions. Jon spoke the words of how I feel about “growing older”. He brought tears. Thank you so much for sharing. 🙂

  7. Thank you,Maria, for sharing. I was mesmerized listening to Jon read his manifesto. For so long, I have wanted someone to stand up and tell the world the exact words he read. I relate to his thoughts about our making our own health decisions. My doctor has always realized that I am not one who wants tests and we agreed 18 years ago when I became one of his first patients that I would accept him as my doctor if he would allow me to listen to my body. He agreed.

Thank you again, Maria for sharing this wonderful, wonderful talk. I shall listen to it again and again.

  8. Jon was awesome. What a wonderful talk. He is a fine example of how to age. He was intelligent, thoughtful, and eloquent.

  9. I knew it would be a great talk. It took years off my age and added decades to my life. Bedlam Farm and its inhabitants have been my fountain of youth. I thank you Maria for sharing it with all of us.
