It Must be Spring

eggsI found two eggs in the roost this afternoon.  It must be Spring, no matter that there’s a big ice and snow storm happening.  It must be Spring because our hens are pretty stingy with the eggs, and I can’t think of another reason they’d be laying.  Unless it’s the new laying mash we’re giving them…. but I prefer to think it’s Spring.

  1. what laying mash are you using?. We want to feed our hens something that will possibly assist them in their egg laying.Thank you for the info!

    1. It’s nothing special Carol, just something we got in the hardware store. I’m sure any would do. it’s the first time we’ve used it and it working.
