Athena’s Concert the Evening of the Bedlam Farm Open House June 21st

Invitation to Athena's Concert.
Invitation to Athena’s Concert.

Dancing in Athena’s Music Sanctuary before lunch on Wednesday’s with Mandy and Athena has become one of those things I really look forward to doing.   Today I felt even more free dancing, I’m not sure why, maybe my trip to Gee’s Bend loosened me up a bit.

On our way to the Round House Cafe for lunch Athena handed us each an invitation to her Concert on Saturday, June 21st.  So it’s official, if you’re coming to the Bedlam Farm Open House the weekend of June 21st and 22nd, and you’re looking for something to do on Saturday night, Athena’s Concert is just the thing.

Her concerts are heart-opening and soulful,  filled with joy.  At some point in the concert a basket of instruments is passed around so you can join in the music making or just sit and enjoy it.  With lots of original music, Athena’s powerful voice and piano playing will lift you up.  (It might even make you cry as it sometimes does with me, but it’s good tears) .

The Music Sanctuary is right in Cambridge, just two blocks from Battenkill Books and the Round House Cafe on 15 West Main Street.  The concert is at 7pm so there’s plenty of time to get dinner after visiting  Bedlam Farm  and before the show.   Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the door and $5 for kids. You can order tickets and get more information here at www.themusic-sancturay.com or by calling (518) 365-9316.

Oh and click here to listen to some of Athena’s music from her latest CD With Love.  Gives you an idea of what you can expect at her concert.

Athena’s concerts tend to sell out, so if you’re thinking of going it’s a good idea to get tickets in advance.
