  1. Jon’s photos are always and quite simply superb. This particular one for me brings to life the broad landscape of nature — the high contrast of those dark clouds agsinst the bright lushness of the green ground — and the place of those who live among its vastness. Fanny and Red are resplendant against this backdrop.

  2. I would like to throw my name in the hat for a chance to win the “Timeless Fanny” print – in fact – I would love to win it! Best wishes with your lambing adventures!

  3. What a beautiful photo – would fit perfect in my home. Love Jon’s work – On another note, I am mailing you within the next week about 3-4 items – I think in good shape – dresser scarves that might work somewhere in a quilt or scarf. I will let you know when I mail them, just have to package up and get to the P.O. Sure enjoy reading about the sheep and agree with everything you are doing – I couldn’t part with them either but then there is always that “bottom line”! Can’t wait to order some of the wool.

  5. A gorgeous photo. Maria, thank you to both you and Jon for filling my life with love and truth each day in your blogs.

  6. Seems like you are making good use of your new sewing machine. I need to get mine out and dust it off. It’s been a while since I’ve bonded with it.

  7. Thank you for this opportunity and the work you too produce is just amazing. Thanks for all you do 🙂

  8. Of course, I would love to win this beautiful reminder of the farm and my fondness for you all, people and animals alike. It would light up my new apartment! I love those green boots and the way your work has become more mystical since Gees Bend. Their singing is fabulous!

  9. Please include me as a contestant in your give-away. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and art and the local artists as well.

  10. There is so much to see in this beautiful photo. I keep wanting to look at it more closely than I can get on my computer screen! Thank you for offering this to one of your readers.

  11. A lot of people got on the list before me but I sure wouldn’t mind having that photo so put me in too. As a kid my backyard butted up to a pasture with several donkeys. They surely are interesting creatures. I have bought and read most of Jon’s animal books and then donated them to my church library for others to read. Thanks for the give-away. Keep up the good work, Maria. We quilters have to encourage each other every chance we get.
