This month’s Common Thread Give-a-way is Jon Katz’s photo of our donkey Fanny and Red in the Pasture at Bedlam Farm.  It’s called “Timeless Fanny” and is a signed 5×7 photo on digital paper Printed by photographer George Forss.

  6. Maria, I would love to have this beautiful photo. I don’t live on a farm; never have. I live vicariously on one thanks to you and Jon. This photo is so full of color and calm and it makes me feel like I could be there.
    I can’t come to the next open house because our son moved to Texas and we’re headed to that part of the country at that time, but hopefully, I will be able to soon. In the meantime, having this photo to frame and see every day would mean so much to me. Take care! Syl

  20. Two years ago I read Yann Martel’s Beatrice and Virgil. I have been affected every since, by that tale of a donkey and a monkey. Since then donkeys have become an obsession, one of the many, many reason I love your blog! My obsession was also the reason why I suggested for last year’s book club, that we read The Wisdom of Donkeys by Andy Merrifield. Such amazing animals – I love how Jon captures that which sets them apart from humans.
