Goddess Eyes, Almost Done

I’ve been continuing to work on my wall hanging Goddess Eyes in between making Intuition Dolls for the Open House.   I wait for it to speak to me, to tell me what it wants.  When that happens there’s no ignoring it.

This afternoon it called to me and I knew it wanted another snake  between the lower Baskets of Goddesses,  but I wasn’t sure what it would look like.  So I got my sketch book and looked at a drawing I made after having the dream about Lenore and the inexplicable experience of love.  In that drawing there were a few hands.   I decided draw a hand with a long arm and have the snake wrapped around the arm.  When I drew the hand and then the arm attached to it, it naturally became a tree. I think it’s a powerful symbol (although I’ll have to think about exactly what it means) and I’m sure I’ll use it again.

I feel I’m almost done with Goddess Eyes.  Just a few more things to do, even though I don’t know what they are yet.

Goddess Eyes is sold.

  1. The apple photo is beautiful. I make apple or pear sauce in the crockpot. Just add a tiny bit of sweetner- maybe honey- , some cinnamon, nutmeg, etc. a little water & leave on low all day or all night. Then I freeze any extra, & it is scrumptuous. Love your blog. Mary Ann

  2. This is so stunning, beautiful and heart opening! There is something about the goddess figure in the neck or the throat of the donkey that pulls me in. I can’t imagine what this sold for $$$$. It is really a one of a kind.

  3. Maria, Do you ever feel like the trees are a channel of energy going into the sky as well as into the earth? Like the energy is boundless and yet, anchored. Beautiful.
