Not only was there something going on every moment of the Open House, but we also had a raffle to benefit Blue Star Equiculture. Donations for the raffle came from quilter Kenna Ogg, Helen Colombo knit a hat and cowl from my sheep Suzy’s wool,  Suzy  Fatzinger (who my sheep is named after) hand spun and knit a pair of fingerless gloves from Liam’s wool (she won an award for the yarn at the Garden State Fair) and artist Gloria Houlne donated one of her drawings.

We raised $650!  The winning tickets were drawn at the end of the day on Sunday and the winners are:

Kate Rantilla won Kenna’s Quilt
Jill Pietizak won  Helen Colombo’s Hat and Cowl
Kathy Langer won Suzy’s Gloves
Deb Glessner won Gloria Houlne’s drawing

So thanks to all of you who bought a ticket and donated your work.  Thanks also to the people who volunteered to man the BSE raffle booth.

  1. Maria, since I can’t post to Jon’s site, may I do so here and say how much I enjoyed ‘attending’ your Open House on the internet an hour north of Toronto in the Hockley Valley. Jon’s pictures were wonderful and thank you for sharing this special week-end with those who follow your blogs.
