Starting A New Quilt

I’m not sure what got me started on this new quilt.  Maybe I was inspired by the Gee’s Bend poem. What ever it was, I just had to do it.

I had something else in mind when I began it, but now it’s taken on a life of its own.  What happens next has me stumped, mostly because of the gray and white red striped pieces.   But I couldn’t help challenging myself that way.   It was almost becoming too easy.  All the colors and patterns were stating to work in a way that made it predictable.

Tonight I’m too tired to do more, but I’ll be looking forward to figuring it out on Monday morning.
