Taming the Confusion, those were the words that came to me when I first wrote about this quilt and it really is what it’s all about. Gathering the pieces and making sense of them. My idea of “making sense”.
And I think subconsciously I was illustrating those two words with the wildness of the Zebra fabric and the very proper and controlled looking riders on the horses.

By the time I got to work on the back of the quilt my body and head was in a different place. With the freedom that comes with it being the back of the quilt, I was able to experiment while having the front of the quilt as a guide for my colors and patterns.
I tacked it all with orange yarn. The orange ties on that pink and maroon flowered fabric making it even warmer and creamier.
Taming the Confusion is for sale. Sold. It’s measures 65″x 79″ and is $400 + $20 shipping. If you’re interested in my quilt you can email me here at [email protected]. I take checks and paypal.
I tack my quilts with yarn. Here’s a short video of me tying the orange yarn on the back of the quilt.

I’m so glad you found something to do with the horse and rider material. I knew you would find a way to use it, I never could, but could not throw it out.
It was perfect for this Uta. I’m putting lots of your fabric to too use. Thanks for it.
This is marvelous quilt, Maria. I find it’s a treat for the eyes, and just the right weight for snuggling.
Yay! Thank you, again! LT :))
Oh Luanne, I’m so glad you like it. Thanks so much and enjoy cuddling.
