I’ve has this fabric for a long time and I’m not sure how old it is, but I’d guess it’s from the 1960’s or 70’s. I used some of it in one of my wallhangings, but today I realized how I could use it to make some potholders. Using solid colors from a 1970’s patchwork skirt and a few other pieces of fabric, I saw the scenes on these potholders as telling a story.
This is what the fabric looked like before I started cutting out the scenes I wanted for the potholders.
The first potholder I made, I only used one piece of the Farm Life fabric. I wanted to keep the design simple and bold, framing the image.

I have a feeling I’ll be making more of these tomorrow. They’re addictive.
I’ll be putting these up for sale when they’re all done and made into potholders. But if you see one you like and would like to buy it, just let me know. They’re $15 each +$5 shipping for 1-2 and $7 shipping for 3 or more. Shipping is a bit more outside the US. You can email me here at [email protected]. I take checks and paypal and should have these all done by the beginning of next week.
That looks like a fun project! Love how you put it together with the scenes. I can see why it’s addictive:)
