Busy Monday

Today was one of those days when I didn’t get much studio time.  I spent the morning researching tote bags.  I’ve finally run out of the ones a friend gave me and am now looking to buy some.

I did order five from one company that look similar to the ones I’ve been using.  I want to see what they’re like before I invest more money in them.  I like that size and shape for drawing on, they’re about 15″x19″.   I also like that they’re not so stiff and can be rolled up for easy carrying when there’s nothing in them.

Then Jon and I went to JoAnn Fabric in Glens Falls.  They had batting on sale for my potholders.  While I was there I picked up some teal yarn to tie my latest quilt with.

They also had frames on sale and we ordered twenty five of them for the portrait show that Jon will be having at the Round House in September.  I’ll get some custom mats cut and George Forss is going to print the photos.

When I first moved to Upstate NY, I worked in a frame shop.  I’m still pretty good at framing as long as I have the right materials.  We’re trying to keep the cost of the framed photos down so we can sell them at a reasonable price.

This evening I caught up on my paper work from June.  I’m very good at procrastinating when it comes to doing the books.

  1. Hi Maria,

I just clicked on this website I never looked at before, and I saw these leggings (on sale!) and thought of you – aren’t they cool? You might just have to have these as my old friend Jill used to say (got me in trouble shopping back in the day…) enjoy!

BTW I have a 2009 Yaris, bare bones model – you’re lucky you at least got a good color, mine is only grey/silver – but I love my little car and just had to put 1300 into it, but I’ll drive it til it drops – the hatchback is the best for gardening stuff, right? Enjoy your day and please give Chloe a kiss on the nose for me! 🙂
