Sara Kelly and Her Paintings at the Bedlam Farm Open House

Sara’s paintings are mystical and filled with bright and intense color.   Most of them have at least one animal in them and her love and knowledge of crows can be seen in many of them.

They’re inspired by what she sees in the world around her, the sky after a storm, a deer eating the flowers in her garden, crows eating the mulberries from the tree out her window.

Once she  starts drawing, they take a turn, her mind filling in the blanks.   Making  her own kind of sense of the scene.  This is where the mysticism come in.  In how she puts it all together.

Sara is a graphic designer as well as a painter.  I first met her when she made my business cards.  She also designed Mary Kellogg’s latest book, How To Dance.

But mostly, Sara is a painter.  Her murals cover the walls in her house.   Always a work in progress.  And when I saw them, I knew I wanted her work in the Bedlam Farm Open House.

So this October 8th and 9th Sara Kelly will be showing and selling her work in my School House Gallery.    I’ll have some of her original watercolors, some prints and even a calendar of her paintings for sale.

I can’t wait to see them in my Gallery, I know they’ll add so much color and magic.

  1. My wife and I met Sara the other day at the Cambridge Valley Fine Art Tour. What a treat! We now have one of her beautiful prints. She was a wonderful representative of the wonderful people who reside in the area. I can’t wait to meet her again.

  2. I love that painting with the cat at the beginning of this entry. Do you know if Sara has a website or online place she sells her prints? I would be interested in a print of those sweet animals.I would love to come to your gallery but I live in Missouri. Thank you.
