We got our first fall egg today. It’s been a while since the hens have laid any eggs.
Yesterday I was looking in the barn thinking that maybe they found a better place to lay than in their coop. But today this egg was in the laying box.
I put a light in the coop a few weeks ago to make up for the diminishing day light. I guess it just took a while for the hens to get back on track.
Jon and I will share the egg for breakfast tomorrow.
