The Sheep the Wool Came From. A Video

When I first got sheep I didn’t know anything about them or their wool.  But I learn more every time I have them shorn and bring their wool to the mill and have it processed into yarn.

I’m not the kind of person who does a lot of research, I learn by doing.

This spring I have wool from four different kinds of sheep.  Romney, Border Leicester, Cheviot and Karakul.

The wool is from Izzy and Socks, Biddy and Suzy, and Rosemary, Liam and Kim.  (You’ll see them all in the video.)

By mixing the different kinds of wool together I have made a yarn that is softer and stronger than in years before.

I ‘m selling  three different combinations of yarn right now.  In three different colors.  Dark brown, white and beige.

I have pictures of the wool and information on it and on buying it on my blog. You can see it here.
