Sara Kelly’s “Coming Of Spring” In New Orleans

Sara Kelly’s print “Coming of Spring” hanging in Jen’s home.

“It is against bargeboard wall, of which our old New Orleans house was built in 1869. At that time, they drove the barges down the Mississippi but as there were no motors, had no means to drive them back up the river. So, they broke them apart and built houses.”

This is what Jen wrote to me in the email she sent with the photo of Sara Kelly’s print, Coming of Spring, that she bought at the Open House Online Gallery.

Jen thought Sara and I might want to see the print framed and hanging in her home.  I thought you all might want to see it too.  And I thought the history of her house just fascinating.

You can see more of Sara Kelly’s work and buy her prints and original watercolors here on her website Sara Kelly Graphics.
