Not Just Another Rainy Day

The remnants of Hurricane Harvey are in Cambridge today, like any other rainy day.

It’s hard to believe that this little drizzle  has anything to do with the hurricane that caused so much death, harm and destruction in Texas.

Like so many people in the country I’ve been thinking of those who are suffering in Texas.  Wanting to help, but feeling helpless.   I’ve been wanting to write something about it since last week,  but just didn’t know what to say.  I still don’t.

So I send in my donation and go about my day.  I  pay attention to the news and check in with facebook, trying to keep track of the people I’m friends with, who may need help that I can give.

And I remind myself  that Hurricane Harvey isn’t really over, for so many people, and won’t be for a long time.

  1. I love the photo the residual evidence of the recent rain and the pumpkins showcasing the upcoming fall. Hurricane Harvey has drop considerable rain here in Florida and like you I make my donation and go about my life, yet for us here ever aware that Hurricane Irma is brewing in the Atlantic and hoping she dies out before doing any damage anywhere.
