Bedlam Farm Open House Updates….

Posters for the Open House

The Bedlam Farm Open House is going to be here in just a few weeks.

And things are still coming together to make it special.

Kathleen O’Brien and Jackie Slade, Bellydancers  from  Sister’s of the Shawl,  will be at the farm on Saturday at 1pm.  They’ll do 3 ten minute sets of Beledi Tribal Bellydancing  between 1 and 2pm, with time in between to talk to the dancers.

Kathleen is one of the teachers in the belly dancing class I’m taking and Jackie is a student and dancer.  I’m very excited to have them at the Open House and to be able to share the power and beauty of Bellydancing with everyone who will be there.

Also, Poet Jackie Thorne will be at the Open House on both Saturday and Sunday reading some of her new poems and selling her book “Gone to Ground“.   The poetry readings are at 2pm.  Mary Kellogg will also be there reading some of her new and old poems.  You can see more of Jackie’s work on here on her blog Creative Journey Woman.

And if you’re looking for something to do on Saturday at 4pm after the Open House, Paula Josa Jones is having a  reading of her new book “Our Horses, Ourselves”  at Battenkill Books.   Paula’s book is about how to use movement, breath and touch to better communicate with our horses. You can find out more about Paula and her work here on her website Paula Josa-Jones Performance Works.
