These are some of the weavings I saw at the Millicent Rogers Museum in Taos. I think most of them are Navajo, although I didn’t write down info on them, so not I’m not completely sure.
I can’t wait to get home and try out what I’ve learned about weaving from watching Carlos Trujillo weaving in his shop in Chimayo.
A few weeks ago, I wrote on my blog about the swastika and symbols. Here’s an example of it in this Navajo weaving. For the Navajo it’s the symbol of the “whirling log”.
