Lambs In A Sweater

Fate making herself small in Gus’ bed after the gathering.

I think Jon was joking when he suggested making pigs in a blanket for our gathering today.

We were at the farmers market and just passed our friend and handyman, Jay who was selling lamb sausage straight from his farm.  I bought a package, thinking lamb instead of hotdogs.

Instead of pigs in a blanket, we could have lambs in a sweater.

I was in the living room when I heard a strange sound coming from the kitchen.  Since it wasn’t a sound I had heard before, I  went to see what it was and there was Fate, head hanging low as she skulked out of the kitchen.

The sound was the plate clanging on the stove top, when Fate reached up and ate half the sausage.

Fate went through a period of stealing food from the countertop, but she hasn’t done that in a long time.  The sausage did smell especially good, I guess she just couldn’t resist.

With only half of the sausage left, we pulled some Piggy Dogs out of the freezer and ending up having some pigs in a blanket along with our lambs in a sweater.

  1. Okay. I’m sorry it happened, but …. I still snorted and then expelled most of a cuppa all over my poor tablet’s screen. LOLOLOLOL Blessings … and patience. P.S. Good on you guys for opening your heart, hearth, and home! (I’m not there … yet!) <3

    1. Oh your poor tablet Maggie! But I’m glad you got a laugh out of it. Just spreading the cheer…. I guess that’s just what we did open our heart, hearth and home. Nicely said.
