Staying Warm

It’s been snowing for most of the day here.  I spent the morning with a friend, who is moving to Washington County,  looking at houses.

Ever since I was a kid, I was always curious to see what the inside of other people’s homes looked like.  I still enjoy looking and helping friends to decide which might be good house for them and which wouldn’t

Shoveling and caring for the animals took up a good part of the rest of my day.  But I did get to my studio for a couple of hours.  I didn’t get much done on my new quilt, and tomorrows supposed to be even colder with more snow, so I don’t know if I’ll even get to my studio then.

Jon and I just came in from shoveling and graining the donkeys and sheep.  We opened the barn so they can have extra shelter if it gets as windy as it’s supposed to.

The cats are in the basement.  They have two warm beds down there, but they often snuggle into one.  We haven’t had any mice in the house so I imagine they’re keeping busy that way.

I put a light in the Chicken Coop yesterday.   It should help to keep them  a little warmer.

The last thing I did was fill up the bird feeders.  That should keep them in food for a couple of days.

We’re as ready for the cold as we can be.  Stay warm everyone!
