At first I didn’t know what these marks in the snow were. But then I saw one when Biddy, who was laying in the snow getting some sun, got up.
The big circles at the top of the shape are the sheep’s knees and the smaller shapes below them, their hooves. (they’re legs bent under their body)
The warmth from the sheep’s bodies melted the snow smooth.
Biddy made a hen!
A snow hen!
