Good Monday Morning From Bedlam Farm 5/7/18

I’ve really come to appreciate the wetlands on our farm.  They are filled with life which is especially visible and audible this time of year.  After reading Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer, I came to understand and appreciate every part of the marshy area and what grows and lives there.

So many of the birds you hear in my videos are there because of the wetlands.  I thought I’d make them a more central part of my video this morning.

Oh, and that’s Fanny and Lulu braying in the background, trying to call us back to the barn.

  1. Maria, love your Monday videos, but this one takes the prize! With a new perspective, from the wetlands, it is gorgeous! It finishes beautifully as well.
I remember well the videos that Jon would take of you at the old farm, walking down the driveway to feed the chickens with the crunch of gravel under your foot steps. Seems it has changed since then, with you now recording life on Bedlam farm. Thanks for sharing! Your videos are most appreciated!

    1. That’s really nice to hear Donna. Thanks for letting me know. I’m so glad you “got’ the idea of the wetlands too. Thanks for following both me and Jon for so long.
