Biddy

Biddy enjoying some summer grass

Biddy is one of the sheep we rescued.  She and the other three Romneys were taken off a farm by our friend Donna.  The farmer could no longer care for them and they were going to slaughter.

Donna kept the ram and we took Biddy, Rosemary, Izzy and Griselle.  Biddy is Izzy’s mother and she’s the friendliest of the them all.

Next week I hope to drop their wool at the Vermont Fiber Mill in Brandon.  We had the sheep shorn a couple of weeks ago.  I still have to skirt the wool (that means cleaning it of the big pieces of hay, twigs or anything else  that get stuck in it) and plan on doing that tomorrow.
