The woods are filled with November grays this time of year. But I came upon this log covered in orange mushrooms. With the new snow, it was especially spectacular.
I also saw some of the trees I planted last spring. Most of them were buried in the heavy wet snow that fell today. They all popped right back up when I released them from the snow. Bent, but not broken.
Great Pictures, Maria, of the log with the mushrooms! The background highlights it so. Amazing!
I’m so glad you like it Lynne. Thanks for letting me know!
When I look at the mushrooms on the log I see spaceships: little orange alien spaceships, docked and waiting… For what? And what or who is inside them? My imagination runs wild. Over the years I’ve come across many interesting sights on walks in woods, but never one as spectacular as this.
I definitely see that Jane. It was such a wet summer and fall, it doesn’t surprise me, but I find it spectacular too!
