All those beautiful, mostly hand embroidered and stitched designs, on old stained hankies, that I didn’t know how to use till a couple of weeks ago.
That’s how it works with me. I hold on to the lovely old and new pieces of fabric, hankies and doilies, that people so generously send me, till I figure out how to use them.
They’re usually on the bottom corner of the hankie, all those lovely flowers. I cut away the stains and use what’s left. I was even able to use some of the tatting around the edges in a couple of potholders.
They’re all one of a kind, of course. I’m not likely to find any of these flowers again. And the one with the cactus on it, well that’s the first time I ever saw one of those.
These Vintage Hankie Potholder are for sale in my Etsy Shop. They’re $17 each plus $5 shipping no matter how many you buy. You can get to my Etsy Shop by clicking on the Shop Etsy button below or on were it says Shop Etsy on the top of my blog.
