It looked just like a Lily Pad, a bubble of ice on the pond this morning.
It was only about two inches round and there was thinner ice underneath it. Once I looked at the photo I took of it, I saw something different.
All the colors under the ice swirled and blurred looking to me like smudges of paint on an artist’s pallet.
Maybe this will inspire some Monet potholders. [Fingers crossed.]
