I finished drawing the goddess symbols on the backing for my doily Yoni Tree last night.
This morning I began placing and sewing down the the doilies that will be the tree…
I find the doilies very easy to work with. They somehow seem to just fit and fall into place. They have enough resistance so I don’t have complete control over them and lend themselves to creating just there right kind of texture to get the feeling of the tree.
This is what the piece looked like when I left it today. I’ll begin working on the branches tomorrow and still haven’t decided if I’ll add more to the roots.
