Talking With Our Bodies

“Mirroring body language is a non-verbal way to say ‘I am like you, I feel the same’.

That’s just what I saw in this photo, Jon and the donkeys mirroring each others posture.  Often unconscious  for humans, but  more natural than words for animals.  This is what can  happen when we allow our bodies to do the  talking and the listening.

Communication flows unbounded.

  1. Sweet photo! The three of them look so relaxed and at ease with each other. A beautiful quiet moment on the farm.

  2. Wow Maria, this is a powerful photo. The weirdest thing is I don’t recognize Jon in it, he looks like a 40-something man to me. I keep trying to see him but I just see this younger but weary “everyman”.

Thank you for the donkey wisdom.

  3. I agree with Elizabeth. So intriguing the image of Jon you captured. I made the photo bigger on my iPad and I still see Jon in this different way as Elizabeth described.

    1. What do you think of my idea that their connection transcends time? You understand about donkeys and they’re ancient connection to people.

  4. I believe in shapeshifting which I think can mean transcending of time. I’ve had this happen to me other times when I see something else in an object that others didn’t see. It’s intriguing that some of us see this younger Jon. Something definitely occurring I believe.

    1. I’m only slightly familiar with shapeshifting Barbara, but I can imagine how it might have to do with transcending time. It’s more of a feeling or something I can picture than have words for.
