My garden is overgrown with Black-eyed Susans. I want to keep them growing there because I know there will be a time in the fall where they’ll be the last flowers blooming. But they’re also drowning out some of my other flowers.
So I cut a big bouquet of them and put them in a vase on the table on the backporch.
I’ve been pulling out the dead ones and feeding them to the donkeys, but today the whole bouquet died so the donkeys had a Black-eyed Susan feast.
