This is the time of year that the Zinnia’s in my garden are usually at their best. But this year all the seeds I planted didn’t grow. So Instead I put in all the extra dahlia bulbs and they’re filling in the spaces where the Zinnia’s didn’t grow.

Dear Maria, Your RED DAHLIAS ARE BEAUTIFUL!! Mine look like this, but never had a bloom until mid August. I also like Zinnias, because they bloom mid June and just keep going until hard frost! (I am able to start the seeds inside under lights in March, then set them out as plants end of May)
I think the do bloom late Annie. Last night we had a frost and even though I covered them, most of them died. it’s that time of year.
