I used to think that too Barbara, before I got my sheep. But then I didn’t know that female dogs marked territory either. I’ve seen both my dogs Frieda and Fate do that, especially out in the woods.
I don’t remember seeing the sheep doing this, or maybe it’s just been too long. Why do they do it ?
They do it from time to time Laura. Our shearer Liz thinks they may be reacting to the change in weather or it can also be that Biddy, who has since bumped heads with some of the other sheep too, is in heat.
