Before getting to my studio, after coming home from the Vermont Fiber Mill, I put the final coat of paint on the front porch. It was 54 degrees out and although there was the threat of rain I got lucky.
I don’t usually like to do things like painting on a workday, but I also know that it might not be above 50 degrees again for a while. Tomorrow I’ll move the wicker furniture back and Flo will be happy to have her porch again.
When I did get into my studio, I got right to work on my quilt that I started, it seems, so long ago. This is the quilt with Carol Law Conklin’s batik print at its center.
I got the batting and backing done. Now the quilt is hanging and ready for tacking.
