News From The Barnyard, Melting Snow

Griselle and Fanny

Overnight enough snow melted in the rain that this morning the donkeys and sheep came running from the south pasture when I brought the hay out.   They had been out grazing.

The barnyard is a muddy, icy mess, but Fate got to run around the sheep letting out a week’s worth of “herding” frustration.

The hens hopped out of the roost with hesitation and the cats are out of the basement and back on the porch.

A wet and gloomy day for me, but a good day for the animals.
