Backing and Tacking

Laying out the batting for the second quilt for Ellen.  The front and back of the quilt are face to face.  I trimmed the batting to size, pinned it the sewed all three layers together.

I finished tacking the second quilt for Ellen this evening.  I don’t have a name for it yet, but it will come. I don’t think I’ve ever put a quilt together so quickly.  Two days of designing and one to get the backing, batting and tacking done.

I even took time out today for a late afternoon walk in the woods with Fate and picked up some fruit for the Bellydancing Hafla tomorrow.  (It’s our yearly holiday Hafla, where we dance and eat for the last class of the year).

Tomorrow I’ll get a backing together for the first quilt, and get started tacking it.  If all goes well, it looks like I should be able to have them both done by Friday.

  1. The woods are lovely, dark and deep,

    Lovely scene, thanks.
