It’s official, I set a date for my Snail Party. I’ve invited three friends and with Jon and me, there will be four to five people (one guest Anne, has a fencing meet that night so she may be late or possibly not show up at all) sitting around our fish tank beginning at 5:30 pm next Saturday night.
I still haven’t figured out the menu, but whatever it is it will have to be something that we don’t need to sit at a table to eat. I’m thinking finger foods. Cucumber sandwiches are the first thing that comes to mind, but I need more than that, so if anyone has any ideas about a good finger food for a snail party, please let me know.
I let everyone who’s invited know that there may be little action in the tank and it’s sure to be slow. But they all are accepting of this idea and seem to be looking forward to it.
And of course, we have three goldfish who are constantly moving about, so they’ll at least add a little color and movement even if the snails are quiet.
I’ll keep you all updated as things progress.
How Fun!!
Mini pizzas, stuffed mushrooms, deviled eggs, and cookies and tea for dessert.
Did you say you are reading too for it….
Wish I lived closer!! I would love to go.
You’d be invited Janet. I think Jon will make a pizza that I’ll cut into small pieces, Hadn’t thought of the others, but they are good suggestions. Thanks!
Mini quiches and pinwheels would be good. I saw a recipe for a hummus and vegetable pinwheel that looks delicious.
I was thinking of mini quiches, a friend brought some for dinner the other night. I can get a recipe from her. And Pinwheel sound perfect for the snail theme even though I don’t know what they are. I’ll google them. Thanks Tonya!
Maria what a great idea !!!!!! What about egg rolls? I think they sell them frozen.
That could work Eileen, There is something about the roll that is snail-like.:)
