Zinnia’s getting to know Asher.
This morning they were getting close to each other through the gate. Then Asher put his head down as if to butt her, but Zinnia was undeterred. When Asher lifted his head, Zinnia stuck her nose through the gate and gave him a lick on the nose.
In some ways, Zinnia reminds me of Lenore. Jon wrote a children’s book about how she was always trying to make friends with the sheep.
