Every morning, after feeding the donkeys and sheep, filling their water bucket and mucking out the pole barn, I check on the water and feed in the chicken coop, then make sure the bird feeder is full.
While I do all of this Fate sits by the pasture gate, ready, just in case I go back into the barnyard.
But Zinnia isn’t as attached the sheep as Fate is and this morning she was happy to follow me around. After I told her not to chase the chickens she watched me fill up the birdfeeder.
She may have been more interested in the suet (which she kept licking) than me, but it was still nice to have her company.
What a soulful face she has! Great pic.
She has those great eyes Pat.
